JLG Telehandlers Kansas
After spending many years working together with his brother to be able to build their crane manufacturing company into a leader of the industry, John L. Grove chose to retire. His wife Cora and John celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country trip utilizing their recreational vehicle. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the worldwide leading manufacturer of specialized material handling machinery and mobile aerial work platforms.
Throughout the R.V. journey, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates who the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. Sadly, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a kind of equipment which can quickly and safely lift people into the air in order to carry out maintenance and construction work.
After John and his wife returned from the trip, John decided to take action. He and two close friends formed a business and then bought a small metal fabrication company within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an initial group of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous parts of the basic design elements of that original equipment are still being incorporated into the existing machinery
Since John L. Grove first came back into town from his cross-country journey, the company has come a very long way. They have significantly grown since their first aerial work platform first launched on the marketplace. Even today, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Lots of innovative machinery are made to help customers be more effective and work safer.
JLG has remained committed to being the leader in the industry. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They attempt to deliver in safety and overall comfort, as well as in performance so that the operator can be as effective as possible.
