Hazards of Type-G forklifts
Forklifts carry out an important role in the operations of warehouses and other businesses. These machines are capable of raising and transporting huge loads from one location to another. There are numerous variations on the forklift. The primary variation is the way in which different types of forklifts are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the most common kind. They utilize liquid propane. Type "E" forklifts have large rechargeable batteries and run on electricity. Type "D" lift trucks utilize diesel and type "G" utilize gasoline. While all lift trucks, like any piece of heavy equipment, can pose a danger, the type of lift trucks that are fueled by gasoline carry the most risks.

Fire
Type G lift trucks could present a fire hazard. Gasoline-fueled lift trucks are not held to rigorous standards in reducing lessening fire hazards. The biggest cause of fire is due to gasoline leaks that enable gasoline fumes to escape. This could result driving on extremely rough terrain and from normal wear or from mishaps. These circumstances pose a danger and can lead to fire. Hence, a typical Type G forklift must never be utilized in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed not acceptable. For example, these units should not be used around hazardous or explosive chemicals.

Explosion
Type G lift trucks also pose a danger of explosion, as do those which run on liquid propane and diesel. A gasoline fueled forklift could explode as a result of a serious mishap in circumstances where a gasoline leak and an ignition source are present. An explosion can happen when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Type G forklifts pose a serious inhalation hazard due to toxic fumes. Gasoline fumes can be deadly in high concentrations. Fumes could result from gasoline leaks or from the exhaust itself. Hence, a Type G lift truck is not recommended for any environment that is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious hazard in enclosed places. This kind of lift truck should be used with caution when operated near people.
