Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines made by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial environments where the equipment must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and versatility of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Key features that this combination offers is out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls provide the equipment with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine extreme lifting versatility and out, over and up positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this particular model is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine machines on most modes have an articulating boom that provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machines are ideal in narrow or small locations. Additionally, they offer utmost power, excellent torque and terrain and grade maneuverability. The diesel engines are generally quiet too. The majority of models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.
High ground clearance is offered in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
